The Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks against citizens and populated villages located on the front lines and infrastructure in NE Syria, using warplanes, drones, and heavy weapons.

Speaking to ANHA agency, the deputy Chairman of the Future Syria Party in Manbij and its countryside, Muhammad Barkal, said “When the Turkish occupation state failed to create strife among the people in NE Syria and incite against the Autonomous Administration, it resorted to directly targeting civil, service, and economic institutions. Its goal is to destroy the infrastructure and attempt to starve the people in order to create a state of instability.”

For his part, the co-chair of the organization office of the Democratic Union Party in Manbij and its countryside, Reem Darwish, said: “The Turkish state has a history full of its crimes against humanity, today it is repeating its history through its threats and targeting of all regions of NE Syria, especially its targeting of the city of Manbij because it is considered a strategic area in the region.

Reem added: “Today, it is targeting populated villages, and is primarily trying to displace the population and practice demographic change in the region. Also, the residents in the villages have realized the reasons for these targeting, so they have made the decision to increase the pace of their struggle and resistance, and to adhere to their lands and confront the occupation.”

Abdul Sattar al-Hussein, the member of the Idlib Council in the Future Syria Party, also agrees with his predecessors regarding the reasons and goals, and considers them a continuation of Turkey’s policy in Syria aimed at occupying and seizing Syrian lands.

Al-Hussein added, “The people of NE Syria will not leave their villages and cities.

At the conclusion of his speech, Abdul Sattar Al-Hussein noted that after 12 years of loss of life and property, the Syrian people realized the extent of the international conspiracy led by the Turkish occupation to change the demographics of the region and divide their country.
