The security campaign to comb al-Hol camp and its surrounding areas continues on its third day, with extensive search and combing operations taking place in various sectors of the camp
On April 18, the Internal Security Forces and the Internal Security Forces – Women in North and East Syria, with the participation of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and support from the Syrian Democratic Forces, launched a security campaign inside and around al-Hol camp. The campaign aims to comb the camp and pursue ISIS cells.
The campaign continues on its third day, with security forces conducting precise searches and combing operations within al-Hol camp sectors.
The campaign aims to prevent ISIS cells from smuggling mercenary families, spreading extremist ideology, and targeting humanitarian organizations operating in the camp.
Yesterday, Internal Security Forces arrested 16 ISIS mercenaries in al-Hol camp and its surroundings, seizing three Kalashnikov assault rifles, two pistols, and some ammunition.
Al-Hol camp is considered one of the most dangerous camps in the world. It is located 45 km from the city of Hasaka and houses approximately 13,124 Iraqis, 15,805 Syrians, and 6,385 families of ISIS mercenaries.
