SDF's Mazloum Abdi congratulates Syrians on anniversary of regime’s fall

The General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, congratulated all Syrians on the first anniversary of the fall of the Baath regime, noting that it was the will of the Syrian people that ended decades of tyranny and division. He expressed his hope that the new phase in the country’s history would be based on justice in a way that serves the interests of all Syrians.

Abdi published two posts on his official account on the X platform in which he congratulated Syrians on the first anniversary of the fall of the Baath regime, expressing his hope that the new phase in Syria’s history will be grounded in justice and stability, and reiterating their commitment to the March 10 Agreement.

In the first post, Abdi said:

“One year ago, Syria entered a new phase with the fall of the defunct regime, in a pivotal milestone we take pride in—one that ended decades of tyranny and division. We congratulate our Syrian people on this anniversary, which reaffirms their will to build a future based on justice, stability, partnership, and protection of the rights of all communities.”

In the second post, Abdi added:

“The current phase imposes on everyone a shared national responsibility and an inclusive dialogue that places the interests of Syrians above all else. We reaffirm our firm commitment to the March 10 Agreement as a foundation for building a democratic, decentralized Syria—shaped by its people and fortified by the values of freedom, justice, and equality.”
