SDF, YPJ leadership arrive at Tishrin Dam
Senior leadership from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) arrived today at Tishrin Dam, accompanied by a delegation from the International Coalition. A meeting is scheduled to take place at the site.
SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi, alongside other senior SDF officials and Rohilat Afrin, the member of the YPJ’s General Command, were among those present during the visit.
The Tishrin Dam has been the focal point of a protest movement led by residents of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria since January 8. Demonstrators have gathered to denounce ongoing Turkish aggression and to emphasize the strategic importance of protecting the dam infrastructure.
