SDF Command meets Raqqa residents to discuss security, services

The meeting emphasized strengthening cooperation between the military forces and the local community to prevent any attempts to destabilize security and to ensure improvements in services and safety.

The meeting, attended by the families of martyrs, representatives of civil society, and city dignitaries, aimed to review the current political, security, and service situation.

Çia Kobani, the member of the SDF General Command, gave a detailed presentation on the latest political developments in North and East Syria, the status of dialogue with the Transitional Government, and regional and international stances toward the region’s issues.

The General Command stressed the importance of closer cooperation between the military and the residents in maintaining security, affirming that Raqqa’s stability is a shared responsibility that requires active participation from local society alongside the security forces.

They also emphasized that maintaining stability requires everyone—individuals and institutions alike—to fulfill their duties, safeguard the population, and counter any attempts to disrupt peace. The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining communication with residents and listening to their opinions and needs.

For their part, the residents and families of martyrs presented the city’s main needs and service-related challenges, emphasizing the necessity of ongoing coordination between civil and military institutions to improve both living conditions and public safety.
