SDF arrest five ISIS mercenaries in Raqqa 

The SDF revealed that its military operations units and commando forces, with direct support from the International Coalition, conducted a precise special operation at dawn today, targeting “a hideout belonging to an ISIS cell” in Tal al-Saman, north of Raqqa.

In a statement published on its official website, the SDF said that “this operation came after careful intelligence monitoring of the cell members’ movements, tracking their communications and preparations to carry out new attacks against our forces and civil institutions. Based on confirmed information, our forces carried out the operation with high precision, simultaneously with aerial support and reconnaissance from the International Coalition.”

According to the statement, the operation resulted in the arrest of “five ISIS terrorists,” including three commanders involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks targeting “our military points and the institutions of the Autonomous Administration,” seeking to spread chaos and destabilize the region.

The statement clarified that this successful operation came as a result of joint and coordinated work between “our field units and our security and intelligence agencies, and constructive cooperation with the International Coalition, which provided full aerial and intelligence support, contributing to achieving this important result.”

The SDF added: “We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the International Coalition for its continued cooperation and effective support in combating the ISIS organization. We affirm that this joint coordination is a fundamental pillar in ensuring the security and stability of the region.” The forces also reaffirmed to the public that “our campaign against ISIS cells continues without hesitation, and we will pursue anyone who attempts to threaten the security and stability of our regions until they are completely eliminated.”

The statement concluded: “Every terrorist cell attempting to undermine the security of civilians or destabilize our regions will be a direct target for our forces. We will not allow the resurgence of terrorism or chaos, and anyone who thinks of committing crimes must know that there is no safe haven for them in North and East Syria.”
