SDF: 9 mercenaries killed, 11 others injured in one day

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out operations against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries as part of legitimate defense, resulting in the death of nine mercenaries and the injury of eleven others.

In a statement released today, the SDF Media Center disclosed the outcome of the legitimate retaliatory operations against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries south and east of Manbij on January 23.

The statement read: "Nine members of the Turkish occupation's mercenaries were killed, and eleven others were injured during legitimate retaliatory operations conducted by our forces yesterday, Thursday, against Turkish occupation bases in the village of Al-Hoshariya in the countryside of Manbij and the countryside of Deir Hafer.

Additionally, our forces carried out an operation targeting a gathering of vehicles and mercenary elements in the village of Atshanah, south of Manbij. However, we were unable to determine the number of casualties among the mercenaries.

These operations are part of the legitimate right to respond to the ongoing ground and aerial attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the regions of North and East Syria."
