ANHA agency documents number of  martyrs  over Turkish attacks

ANHA agency has documented the toll on civilians who were martyred or injured between January 8 and January 22, 2025, as a result of attacks by Turkish forces and their affiliated mercenaries on the Tishrin Dam. The documented toll has reached 21 martyrs, with 203 individuals sustaining injuries.

Turkey and its mercenary forces have been conducting extensive military offensives against the regions of North and East Syria since the fall of the Ba'ath regime. These attacks have increasingly focused on the Tishrin Dam and its surrounding areas, including the Qara Qozak Bridge.

Since January 8, residents of North and East Syria have been gathering near the Tishrin Dam to protest the ongoing aggression by the Turkish occupying forces and their affiliates.

The Turkish military and its mercenaries directly targeted the Tishrin Dam’s structure and the protestors through artillery shelling and airstrikes. According to the records of the Health Authority in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, these attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of 21 civilians and injuries to 203 others.
