SDF: 4 civilians, including a child, injured in armed attack on eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside

Four civilians, including a child, were injured in an attack by an armed group from areas controlled by the Syrian Transitional Government, targeting the village of Hawija al-Faihamat in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The Syrian Democratic Forces reported that armed men from the other side of the Euphrates River, under the control of the Syrian Transitional Government, targeted four civilians on the riverbank in the village of Hawija al-Faihamat in the al-Busayrah area in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, on Friday evening, causing varying injuries.

In a statement published on its official website today, the forces confirmed that the injured were immediately transferred to the hospital. They are:

1 - Omar Abdul Mansour Al-Aliwi, 30 years old

2 - Hamada Hamad Al-Hattab, 30 years old

3 - Adam Abdul Mansour Al-Aliwi, 12 years old

4 - Khaled Saleh Al-Hamad, 24 years old

The Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed in their statement that the repeated infiltrations threaten the stability of the region and endanger the safety of civilians. They stated that "the Damascus government bears responsibility for controlling these violations and dealing with them seriously," stressing the need not to allow these groups to destabilize the region.
