SDC: Global Coalition must take deterrent measures against Turkey

The Syrian Democratic Council condemned the Turkish occupation's targeting of the Federal War Wounded Center in Qamishlo, and called on the international coalition "to express a strong stance towards their partners in the fight against terrorism and take deterrent measures against Turkey and its continued criminality in North and East Syria."

This came in the text of a statement issued by the Syrian Democratic Council regarding the Turkish occupation air attack that targeted the Federal War Wounded Center in the city of Qamishlo on February 11.

The statement stated, "The Turkish targeting of the wounded center is one of the greatest manifestations of Turkish policy in Syria and a clear message expressing the Turkish support that it has provided and continues to provide to the terrorist organization ISIS in its war against the components of the region, and confirms that the wounded who lost parts of their bodies through confronting terrorism, which is... A stamp made in Turkey and implemented by its tools in Syria.”

The statement strongly condemned "the brutal Turkish aggression and blatant criminality against an institution and center that has symbolism in the Syrian conscience in general for what they have done and given in order to eradicate terrorism and protect the values of peace and humanity, and they fought on behalf of the entire world."

It also called on the International Coalition to Fight ISIS to show a strong stance towards their partners in the fight against terrorism and take deterrent measures against Turkey and its continued criminality in North and East Syria.

It also appealed to "the international community, the United Nations, the European Union, and the League of Arab States, to carry out their duty to deter Turkey, put an end to its aggression on Syrian territory, and take a position on the Turkish occupation state’s violation of the system of international laws and norms."

The Syrian Democratic Council's statement also appealed to all Syrian democratic national forces to express their position "rejecting the Turkish occupation and its continued aggression, and to respond to the calls for national dialogue launched by the Syrian Democratic Council to resolve the Syrian crisis, which will be the path to salvation from the Turkish occupation and all intruders and occupiers."
