Footage captured by ANHA agency’s correspondent reveals the extent of damages and losses suffered by farmers due to the continued obstruction by the occupying Turkish state of the Euphrates River flow towards Syrian lands.

The images show a significant recession of water levels in the Euphrates Dam Lake, alongside local efforts to extend pipelines to irrigate agricultural lands, in a desperate attempt to salvage the agricultural season, particularly the cotton crop, which has been severely affected.

The visuals also highlight the clear signs of drought on the soil surface, including cracks that threaten the fertility of the land and the sustainability of agriculture in the region, as Turkey continues to withhold the Euphrates waters from both Syria and Iraq.
