QAMISHLO

Ronahi newspaper, published in both Kurdish and Arabic in North and East Syria as well as across Syria, has added four new pages to its Kurdish editions.

The newspaper began publishing the expanded editions on November 27, adding four pages to the Kurdish section, bringing the total number of pages in the Kurdish edition to 12, equal to the 12 pages of the Arabic edition.

According to the newspaper’s administration, the decision was made in response to current demands, the growing capabilities of the Kurdish section, and with the aim of enriching the newspaper’s content.

Ronahi started its publication in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo on October 16, 2011. Following the outbreak of the July 19, 2012 revolution, the newspaper opened offices in Qamishlo and Afrin. In its early days, the newspaper resembled more of a magazine, but over time it developed, and in 2014 the Kurdish and Arabic sections were separated.
