Residents: Security is essential for stability in NE, Syria

Residents of the city of Jal Agha in al-Jazira Canton spoke about the importance of security, which they see as essential for the security and stability of North and East Syria, given the ongoing threats facing the region.

Khorshid Kandi stated, "Since the beginning of the revolution, we have adopted a long-term people's war strategy as a method for defending our areas. Through this strategy, we have achieved significant gains after immense sacrifices, under the banner of the Syrian Democratic Forces."

He added that the current stage is crucial in determining the future of the region's communities and affirmed the residents' readiness to organize alongside the SDF and defend the democratic nation project should the peace negotiations with the transitional government fail.

Kandi pointed out that the Turkish occupation state continues to create pretexts to obstruct the ongoing negotiations between the SDF and the transitional government, with the aim of destabilizing the region. He emphasized that "the people will not tolerate any threat to their security and the stability of the autonomous administration, which was established through the sacrifices of more than 12,000 martyrs."

For his part, citizen Khalaf Koli explained that unity and fraternity among the peoples were the foundation upon which the Syrian Democratic Forces were built from the beginning of the revolution. He noted that "popular organization was and remains the cornerstone of protection, and without it, they would not have been able to maintain their gains despite the repeated attacks."

He added that "the threats persist and target the unity of the various communities by fueling internal conflicts." He called for maintaining social cohesion and preventing any attempt to drag the region into sectarian or ethnic conflicts.

Citizen Mahabat Abdullah stated that "organization and training within the communes strengthen the community's defense and security capabilities in the face of the dangers threatening the democratic nation project and the autonomous administration."

She stressed that the Syrian Democratic Forces are the sole guarantor of security and stability in the region of North and East Syria, and called on all components to "stand united alongside them to protect the region from current and future threats."
