Residents of Garkê Legê welcome recognition of Autonomous Administration Certificates

Residents of the town of Garkê Legê welcomed the decision to recognize educational certificates issued by the Autonomous Administration, stressing that this step ends part of the suffering of students and opens new horizons for them to continue their education. At the same time, they called for recognition of certificates issued by institutes and universities in Rojava.

Residents of Garkê Legê in the Jazira region welcomed the decision of the Ministry of Education in the interim government to recognize preparatory and secondary school certificates issued by the Autonomous Administration. They stressed that the decision represents an important step in preserving students’ rights and preventing the loss of their academic years, while also calling for official recognition of certificates from institutes and universities in Rojava.

In this context, citizen Rojin Ahmed said that recognizing educational certificates issued by the Autonomous Administration is one of the basic rights of students who have made great efforts throughout their years of study, noting that the decision is of great importance for thousands of students who had been waiting for such a step.

She added that these certificates are the result of years of work and sacrifice, and that recognizing them is an achievement that preserves students’ rights and secures their academic future. She emphasized the need for recognition to also include certificates from institutes and universities in Rojava, allowing graduates to continue their studies and work in their specializations.

For his part, citizen Shawkat Muslim explained that students’ families welcome the decision issued by the Ministry of Education, describing it as a positive step toward affirming the educational rights of the region’s children.

He pointed out that what is needed now is to translate the decision into clear practical and legal procedures that ensure its official implementation, stressing that students have the right to learn in their mother tongue and to obtain full recognition of the certificates they earned after years of study and effort.

He added that families take pride in their children studying under the Autonomous Administration curriculum, and they see recognition of these certificates as an acknowledgment of the efforts of students and the sacrifices of the martyrs who helped protect these achievements.

In turn, citizen Nesrin Kendi expressed her happiness with the decision to recognize educational certificates issued by the Autonomous Administration, considering it a long-awaited positive step for thousands of students and their families.

She stressed that families hope the decision will not remain symbolic, but will turn into a stable official and legal recognition that guarantees students’ rights in the future.

She also emphasized the necessity of recognizing certificates from institutes and universities in Rojava, ensuring equal job opportunities for graduates in various institutions according to their academic specializations.
