Dozens of residents of the cities of Derik, Girkê Legê, and Çil Agha in the Jazira Canton gathered in public squares to head to the Tishrin Dam and join the protesting residents there, to protect their water and the dam from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

It is worth noting that the people of North and East Syria have been taking turns since January 8th, protecting the Tishreen Dam from collapse, safeguarding their gains, and providing support and assistance to the Syrian Democratic Forces and the People's Protection Units (YPG) defending them.
