The Turkish occupation state launched a large-scale attack on NE Syria on October 23, 2024, which resulted in the martyrdom of 17 citizens, including children, according to statistics of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, in addition to dozens of injuries.

Furthermore, Turkey targeted more than 30 vital sites, including service centers, vital facilities and infrastructure.

" The attacks of the Turkish occupation are not new to our regions, as it deliberately targets villages on the contact lines to undermine the stability of civilians and push them to migrate," the deputy Co-Chair of the Girê Spî City Council, Hazaa Muhammad said.

Hazaa condemned the attacks that killed citizens, and targeted the silos of Ain Issa city and the M4 international road, which led to the temporary closure of this road, in addition to a power outage from dozens of populated villages as a result of targeting medium-voltage cables, along with targeting the Lafarge cement factory in the region.

Hazza explained that "the Turkish occupation's goal is to displace the residents of the region and target farmers who are preparing to plant their lands with winter crops."

He pointed out that these attacks enhance the activity of Turkish backed groups which contributes to spreading malicious rumors.

Hazza Muhammad confirmed that the service committees in the Girê Spî city Council continue their efforts to provide basic services to citizens, despite the challenges resulting from the Turkish bombing.

He stressed " The importance of working to repair the facilities damaged as a result of these attacks," relying on the will of resistance and steadfastness to thwart the Turkish attacks and prevent the achievement of its colonial goals."
