A few hours after the opening of the Abu al-Zandin crossing, which separates areas occupied by Turkey from areas controlled by the Damascus government in northwestern Syria, the crossing was subjected to artillery shelling from an unknown source, coinciding with the outbreak of a "demonstration" rejecting the opening of the crossing, which resulted in the injury of a person, amid reports of targeting the car of a leader of the Turkish mercenaries "Military Police" called "Abu Hassan '".

Local sources said that the shelling came after the crossing was prepared for the passage of cars from both sides.

The Turkish mercenaries, the "Military Police", tried again to open the Abu al-Zandin crossing this morning, for one day a week only for those coming from the areas occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries to the areas controlled by the Damascus government, and another day for the reverse movement, while those who object to opening the crossing continue their sit-in at the crossing, renewing their refusal to open it as a "step towards normalization with Damascus", demanding the opening of fronts to fight the Damascus forces.

The data indicates that the attempt to open the crossing came after the liquidation of the "Northern Brigade" mercenaries and the arrest of those opposed to opening the crossing, as information indicated that the decision of the Turkish occupation state to dissolve the "Northern Falcons" is due to the latter's refusal to reopen the Abu al-Zandin crossing that connects the areas of Damascus and the areas of the mercenaries and its creation of problems.
