Politician: political solution lies in sitting with Leader Abdullah Ocalan
Politician Ibrahim al-Thalaj confirmed that the leader's family's meeting with him came after a popular struggle linked to his free democratic thought, and called on the international community to pressure the conspiring countries to achieve his physical freedom, and to resolve the pending issues in the Middle East. He said: "The political solution lies in sitting with Leader Abdullah Ocalan."
On October 23, Leader Abdullah Ocalan's nephew, Omar Ocalan, met with him after a 44-month hiatus, and the leader left a message with his nephew, a representative of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party.
Politician and representative of the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria in the North and East of Syria, Ibrahim al-Thalaj, spoke to ANHA's agency about the meeting with the leader and his message, and said: "First, we congratulate the free peoples for their reassurance about the health and safety of Leader Abdullah Ocalan during the meeting that came after years of demonstrations and popular activities that demanded the freedom of the leader."
Ibrahim al-Thalaj explained that the arrest of a thinker, theorist and personality like Leader Abdullah Ocalan in the twenty-first century is a stain on the foreheads of countries that claim democracy and freedom; because he holds the keys to solving many of the region's problems, "and he is the best person who can engage in dialogue, because he has a peaceful ideology, contrary to what the conspiring countries are trying to show that he is only a military leader, and his intellectual output is the best evidence of that."
Regarding the meeting with the leader, al-Thalaj said: "This meeting came after a popular struggle by supporters of the leader's ideology all over the world, but it is not enough; because the peoples of the region are eager for physical freedom, and they realize that the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is linked to the freedom of the peoples of the region who are still suffering from the scourges of wars."
Al-Thalaj stressed that the popular campaigns will continue to put an end to the Turkish violations and crimes against the peoples of the region, and he said: "We find that the Middle East as a whole is witnessing a state of war, and it is a dangerous stage and we must move towards peace." The representative of the Modernity and Democracy Party,
Ibrahim Al-Thalaj, called on the International Coalition, Russia and European countries to put an end to the daily Turkish crimes against the peoples of the region, and to move the region towards a political solution and sit down with Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
