At the invitation of the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria, a dialogue seminar was held under the title "The Requirements of the March 10 Agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus Government" in the meeting hall of the Syrian Democratic Council in Raqqa.

At the beginning, the head of the Modernity and Democracy Party, Mohammed al-Aboud, read the terms of the agreement signed on March 10 between the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and Ahmad al-Sharaa, Prime Minister of the Transitional Government in Syria. He presented a comprehensive analytical reading of the agreement, reviewing its political and constitutional dimensions, as well as the challenges facing its implementation on the ground, especially in light of the regional and international complexities related to the Syrian issue.

The symposium was attended by a number of political and human rights figures, representatives of civil society organizations, and a group of people interested in Syrian public affairs. Following the lecture, an open discussion took place, addressing ways to enhance dialogue between the various Syrian parties and implement the requirements stipulated in the agreement, ensuring the country's unity and fulfilling the aspirations of Syrians.

Rajab Al-Mushrif, a member of the Syrian Democratic Council's Relations Office, called on political parties in North and East Syria to activate their political role during the current phase, in the context of monitoring the implementation of the March Agreement. He emphasized the importance of these parties' closeness to the Syrian street, particularly in the areas controlled by the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

He also called on the parties to strengthen their political role and emphasized the incompatibility of the transitional government's actions with the March Agreement.

Al-Mushrif considered the recent understanding between the transitional government in Syria and the Autonomous Administration regarding the examination process to be one of the most prominent fruits of the March Agreement, which could pave the way for other positive outcomes that contribute to the completion of the implementation of the agreement's provisions.

Turki Ali, head of the Democratic Union Party's Public Relations Office, noted, "Recognizing the rights of Syrian communities is a fundamental element in reshaping national identity based on diversity. He emphasized the need for all communities to fully participate in the political process during the transitional period."

Turki Ali criticized some of the steps taken by the transitional government in Syria, such as the Constitutional Declaration and the procedures related to the formation of the People's Assembly. He considered them inconsistent with the principle of recognizing the rights of communities, as they did not take into account true representation of the diverse Syrian society.

He also pointed out that the provisions of the Constitutional Declaration, particularly those related to defining the identity of the state, the source of legislation, and the religion of the President of the Republic, ignore the remaining Syrian communities and do not reflect their historical and cultural affiliation in Syria, threatening the path to building a state that encompasses all its components.

This symposium is part of a series of events organized by the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria as part of its efforts to promote a culture of political dialogue and contribute to building a comprehensive Syrian national understanding.
