Raqqa residents: Solidarity is cornerstone for stabilizing Syria 

Residents of Raqqa canton spoke about the Syrian community's exposure to a war aimed at inciting strife among its various groups, with the goal of dividing the region, igniting a civil war, and implementing foreign agendas.

Bushra Abed stated, "The region is a unique example of diversity and coexistence among Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians, Turkmen, Armenians, and others," noting that this diversity, which was feared to be a cause of division, has, thanks to the awareness of the people, become a source of strength and unity.

Bushra Abed affirmed that "the autonomous administration based on the participation of all components has proven its ability to consolidate democracy and achieve justice and equality," considering that "unity in diversity is the path to lasting peace."

For his part, Ibrahim al-Jassem, an administrator in the Raqqa City Councils, stressed that solidarity among the components and the community forms a strong social fabric that prevents any attempts to sow discord and division.

Al-Jassem explained that the awareness of the residents and their commitment to social cohesion contributed to thwarting attempts to spread sectarianism through virtual communication, noting that all components manage their own affairs within a successful self-governance model that begins at the commune level and extends to the highest authorities.

In her turn, Duha Muhammad, co-chair of the Martyr Mustafa al-Nakzi Council in Raqqa, pointed out that Raqqa has always been an example of generosity and welcoming all people who come to it, explaining that the cohesion among the components of North and East Syria strengthens the region's political position in the face of regional and international pressures.

She emphasized that internal unity presents the world with a true model of coexistence and successful autonomous administration. The three speakers agreed that the cooperation and solidarity of the people of the region is the main pillar for the continuation of the autonomous administration experience, the consolidation of security and stability, and the building of a civilized model based on freedom, equality and social justice.
