 Massive marches have now been launched in the provinces of NE Syria and Aleppo to commemorate the martyrs of the First Paris Massacre on the 11th anniversary of the massacre in which the leader of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement,  Cansız (Sara), and her two fellow fighters, Fîdan Doğan (Rojbîn) and Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî)  were assassinated. By Turkish intelligence in the French capital, Paris, on January 9, 2013.

The women participating in the marches raised purple and yellow flags bearing pictures of the martyrs of the massacre, and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

They also carried banners that read in Kurdish and Arabic, “In the spirit of the martyrs of Paris, we will defeat fascism and the occupation,” in addition to raising pictures of the male and female martyrs of the second Paris massacre.
