Qamishoi residents protest rising prices and power cuts

Residents of the city of Qamishlo continue their protests, calling for improved economic and living conditions, an end to soaring prices, and a stable electricity supply.

The city of Qamishlo witnessed a protest today, with dozens of residents and shop owners taking part to demand urgent solutions to the worsening living crisis affecting the city.

Protesters carried banners calling for improved living standards, regular electricity supply, and solutions to the fuel shortage.

Participants chanted slogans urging swift action to address the deteriorating economic situation, stressing that the continued rise in the prices of essential goods, coupled with frequent power outages, has placed a heavy burden on residents, directly impacting their daily lives and causing significant losses to shop owners and their livelihoods.

The demonstration is part of a wave of protests that has spread across cities in the Jazira for more than ten days, demanding solutions to the fuel and electricity crises, measures to curb rising prices, and improvements to citizens' living conditions.
