Qamishlo receives 5000 displaced families, calls for urgent humanitarian aid

The city of Qamishlo in the Jazira Canton is witnessing the arrival of thousands of displaced families from the cities of Tabqa, Raqqa, and Al-Shaddadi, following the takeover of these areas by mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government. In response to this emergency humanitarian situation, the Autonomous Administration has mobilized all its offices and bodies to provide shelter and essential needs for the displaced.

So far, more than five thousand families have fled from Tabqa, Raqqa, and Al-Shaddadi to Qamishlo, following the entry of Syrian Interim Government mercenaries into these areas, according to the Autonomous Administration.

The Autonomous Administration in the Jazira Canton has mobilized all its offices and bodies to house the displaced and provide for their basic needs, including food supplies, blankets, and shelter.

Special committees have also been formed to receive and accommodate the displaced families, while other committees have been tasked with distributing aid and humanitarian assistance.

The relevant committee emphasized that the growing number of displaced exceeds its current capacity, stressing the urgent and critical need for additional support amid ongoing daily waves of displacement.

Some organizations abroad, such as the Barzani Charity Organization from Southern Kurdistan, as well as domestic organizations and youth, women's, and community initiatives, are providing assistance, but it remains insufficient.
