PYD: Leader Abdullah Ocalan dedicated his life to freedom of women ; people

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) held a meeting today at its center in the Joudi neighborhood of Qamishlo city on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the international conspiracy plotted against Leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998. The meeting was attended by party members and local residents.

The meeting began with a moment of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then, Walid Denkli, a member of the party’s General Council, stated that “the international conspiracy plotted against Leader Abdullah Öcalan was an attempt to strike at the culture of the peoples of the Middle East, but the leader’s thought and philosophy of freedom and democracy made this culture resilient and unbreakable.”

He emphasized that “Leader Abdullah Ocalan dedicated his life to the freedom of women and peoples. Through his thought, we can create a new history based on democracy, peace, and participatory life, and reveal to the world the historical truth of the Kurdish people.”

He affirmed, “We can change the course of history and create a new history based on democracy, peace, and participatory life led by free women, and demonstrate to the world the truth about the leader and his defense of peoples yearning for freedom.”

The meeting concluded with attendees chanting slogans such as “No life without the leader,” and “Long live the resistance of Leader "APO".
