To explain the latest political developments in Rojava, the Democratic Union Party held an expanded meeting today for the people of the city of Girkê Legê, at the Aram Tigran Center for Culture and Art in Rimelan, with the participation of a crowd of residents and members of communes, institutions and councils.

The meeting began with a minute of silence, followed by a speech from party administrator Hadiya Yousef, who reviewed the political developments in the Middle East in general, and in Syria in particular, before addressing the latest developments in Rojava.

Yousef emphasized that the current stage requires political awareness and a unified stance to protect the region's gains. She noted that the philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, along with the cohesion of the Kurdish people and their unity, contributed to protecting Rojava from grave dangers.

She added that coexistence among the region's various communities, especially Kurds and Arabs, has existed for centuries, and asserted that certain parties have sought to incite discord and destabilize the region.

She also pointed out that the "Peace and Democratic Society" project has played a role in strengthening social cohesion and preventing a slide into further conflict.

She stressed that any integration process or political solution in Syria must be based on democratic principles that guarantee the rights of all communities and empower peoples to manage their own affairs.

She emphasized the importance of rallying around the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as they are a stabilizing force and a source of protection for all the peoples of Rojava.

The meeting concluded with remarks from attendees, who affirmed their commitment to defending their regions and standing with their forces. They also demanded that the rights of the Kurdish people be guaranteed, like all other peoples, and called for the release of prisoners held by the Syrian Interim Government.
