PUK- KDP agree to hold another meeting

The proceedings of the third meeting between representatives of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party ended today, which was held in the political office of the Patriotic Union in the city of Hewler.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to hold another meeting on January 9, two days from now.

According to what was reported by Roj News Agency, the two parties discussed in today's meeting the issues related to forming the new government in the federal region of Southern Kurdistan.

Today's meeting is the third of its kind between the two parties, as it was preceded by a meeting in November of last year, and another in December of the same year.

Through these meetings, the two parties seek to reach a comprehensive agreement that guarantees the stability of the region and the distribution of positions among the main political forces.

The elections held in the federal region of Southern Kurdistan on October 20 of last year saw the Kurdistan Democratic Party win 39 seats, while the Patriotic Union won 23 seats.
