The statement stressed that “regardless of the source or those behind them, these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the foundations of internal security, political stability, and economic stability.”

It emphasized that “the Iraqi government must fulfill its official responsibilities and establish clear boundaries against such attacks, based on its sovereign authority and duty to protect Iraq’s land and people, including the Kurdistan Region, its resources, and economic wealth.”

The PUK strongly condemned these attacks and called on both the Iraqi government and parliament to play their role in safeguarding the country from any new security chaos or political tension, which could freeze the course of national dialogues aimed at resolving crises and strengthening trust, brotherhood, and coexistence among Iraqis.
