Today, dozens of residents and shop owners in Qamishlo held a protest demanding urgent solutions to the city's economic crisis. The city is facing ongoing hardship, particularly after the fuel subsidy was cut off.

The protesters carried banners calling for improved living standards, a regular electricity supply, condemning the fuel subsidy cuts, and demanding a solution to the fuel shortage.

The participants chanted slogans demanding swift action to address the economic situation, emphasizing that the continued rise in prices of basic commodities, coupled with frequent power outages, has burdened citizens, directly impacting their daily lives and causing losses for shop owners and their livelihoods.

This demonstration is part of a series of protests taking place in cities across the Jazeera region, demanding solutions to the fuel and electricity crises, a reduction in price hikes, and an improvement in living conditions for citizens.
