With unwavering will and determination, the people of NE Syria continue their resistance to protect the Tishreen Dam. They have been flocking to the dam daily since January 8, rejecting the repeated attacks launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. Their goal is to protect vital infrastructure from destruction and to demand an end to the Turkish attacks that threaten stability in the region.

The protesters affirmed their determination to continue their resistance until the end, their adherence to their rights, and their rejection of any attacks that threaten the dam, a vital source of drinking and irrigation water. They also rejected the policies of the Turkish occupation that target the foundations of life in the region and called on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities to halt these attacks.

Since January 8, residents of NE Syria have been heading to the Tishreen Dam to protest attacks by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

The Tishreen Dam is one of the most important service facilities in NE Syria, with hundreds of thousands of residents relying on it for water and electricity. With the escalation of Turkish attacks on the region, the dam has become a military target, prompting residents to organize ongoing protests. They emphasize that protecting the dam is a collective responsibility and that they will not abandon it, regardless of the challenges.
