Protests at Tishrin Dam continue for 17th day

The sit-in protest at Tishrin Dam has entered its seventeenth day, with the participation of a delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

Residents of North and East Syria have been protesting at Tishrin Dam since January 8, demanding the prevention of the dam’s collapse and an end to the attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

On Wednesday night, a delegation from the Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Tabqa Cantons arrived at Tishrin Dam, joining hundreds of residents and a delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

Upon arrival, the delegation was subjected to shelling, resulting in the martyrdom of one civilian and the injury of dozens. However, the protesters continued their demonstrations.

So far, as a result of the shelling targeting the protesters at Tishrin Dam, 21 civilians have been martyred, and 2,023 others have been injured.
