Protest in Qamishlo condemns Iranian attacks on South, East Kurdistan

The Kurds Without Borders Organization held an activity in front of the UNHCR Office in Qamishlo to condemn the Iranian authorities' attacks on South and East Kurdistan.

Activists, politicians, and representatives of political parties in Rojava participated in the event, along with intellectuals, journalists, and writers.

During the activity, banners were raised bearing slogans such as: "Freedom for Kurdistan, Freedom for East Kurdistan," "Kurdish stance and rank unity," "The future is for our children," "Rojava and Rojhilat... Kurdistan is one homeland," and "We stand with the Kurdistan Region against Iran's attacks."

These slogans were written in Kurdish (Kurmanji and Sorani), English, and Arabic.

During the activity, Kader Beri; the director of the Kurds Without Borders Organization, stated that East Kurdistan was the most part that suffered injustice, emphasizing that the Kurdish people in East Kurdistan remain steadfast. He added that recently tens of thousands from this people martyred at the hands of the Iranian regime.

Kader Beri also condemned the Iranian regime's attacks against the territory of South Kurdistan and against the Kurdish people in East Kurdistan. He explained that to confront these attacks and defend the Kurdish existence, all Kurdish parties must set aside partisanship, and work together. He stated, "Until victory is achieved, we will stand firm for East Kurdistan and continue our struggle."

At the conclusion of the event, the Kurds Without Borders Organization delivered a letter to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The letter stated that the organization called upon the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take a stance against the occupation of Kurdistan and the violations committed against the Kurdish people, and to provide support to the Kurdish people in Kurdistan.
