Protest Held in front of International Coalition base condemning international silence

Residents of the city of Hasakah took part today in a demonstration in support of the resistance of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods. The march set off from al-Nawwar Roundabout and headed toward the vicinity of the International Coalition base in the Ghuwayran neighborhood, demanding an end to the attacks and massacres and urging international powers to intervene immediately to protect civilians and stop the ongoing assaults and violations.

Participants chanted slogans calling for an end to the siege and attacks and condemning campaigns of extermination, while reaffirming their support for the steadfastness of residents and the Internal Security Forces in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the face of mercenaries of the interim government.

Upon reaching the site, the demonstration turned into a sit-in protest. A statement on behalf of the components of Hasakah city was delivered by citizen Barvin Ahmed, in which she called on international powers to intervene immediately to halt massacres and violations, praising the bravery and sacrifices of the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh and the Internal Security Forces in confronting what she described as “terrorist forces.”

At the conclusion of the protest, participants expressed their strong condemnation of the ongoing attacks, affirming that their popular mobilization will continue until the assaults are stopped and the protection of civilians is guaranteed.
