Prisoners' families in Hasaka: We want our sons

During a vigil held in Hasaka, the families of prisoners demanded that the fate of their sons be revealed and that they be released. They called on the concerned authorities to expedite the implementation of the agreement and return the prisoners to their families without delay.

Hundreds of families, relatives, and friends of prisoners gathered near al-Hamama roundabout in the center of Hasaka city in a protest demanding information about the fate of their detained sons and calling for their immediate release.

The protesters held up pictures of their sons and banners expressing their demands, including slogans such as, "We demand the prisoners' release; freedom is an irreversible right," "Freedom for our prisoners," "I want my only brother," and "We will not be silent until the last prisoner is freed," while chanting slogans calling for their immediate release.

They also expressed their deep concern and ongoing suffering due to the lack of any clear information about the fate of their loved ones.

Several participants delivered speeches during the protest, emphasizing the need for the relevant authorities to assume their humanitarian and legal responsibilities and to work diligently to address this humanitarian issue.

They called on both the Interim Government and the Syrian Democratic Forces to expedite the implementation of the terms of the recent agreement and to take practical steps to release the prisoners and return them to their families, stressing that this issue cannot tolerate delay or procrastination.
