During the gathering, two separate statements were read in the name of the Zenobia Women's Gathering by the administrator of the Women's House, Sahar Al-Mustafa and Muhammad Al-Bashir.
A statement by the Zenobia Women's Gathering condemned the attacks by the Damascus government forces and the massacre that claimed the lives of 11 people, most of whom were children and women.
"We at the Zenobia Women's Gathering and all the women of Deir ez-Zor condemn all acts and attacks targeting our civilians and our military forces" the statement added.
The statement called on all women's movements to stand together and take a unified position, organize our ranks and intensify our struggle alongside our military forces.
The statement by the notables and residents of the region read: "We, the people of Deir ez-Zor, with all its components and clans reject the massacres committed by the criminal regime and its militias against women and children."
The statement added: "Through these massacres, it aims to destabilize security and stability, create a state of instability and strike the components of the people. Today's Dahla massacre, which claimed the lives of women and children is the best evidence of that."
