Popular Anger in NE Syria Region against Damascus government massacres
The NE Syria witnessed a series of mass events to condemn the massacres and attacks of the Damascus government forces on the areas of Deir ez-Zor, and to emphasize standing by the Democratic Syria Forces and the Democratic Autonomous Administration, which expressed the popular anger in the region.
For the 4th consecutive day, the Damascus government forces and its so-called "National Defense" are launching indiscriminate attacks and shelling targeting populated and safe villages in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. yesterday's attacks resulted in a massacre in the villages of Dahla and Jdeidet al-Bakara.
The attacks by the Damascus government forces provoked popular discontent among the people of the cities and areas of NE Syria, notables and tribal sheikhs, and political and social figures.
In this regard, several cities in the NE Syria region today witnessed a series of mass events, including an activity for children and young people in Kobani.
The people of the cities of Tal Tamr, Al-Darbasiya, Tal Kochar, Kobani, and the Afrin and Shahba Canton Council gathered in separate protest gatherings, in which dozens of residents and representatives of various political and social actors from all components participated.
Statements were read during the marches.
The statements condemned the attacks of the Damascus government forces and their followers on the safe areas in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, and extended their condolences to the families of the martyrs who fell as a result of the shelling of the Damascus government forces.
The statements stressed that "these attacks aim to destabilize the region and sow discord, and these attacks come as a result of intelligence coordination between the Syrian and Turkish regimes."
During their statements, the residents affirmed their support for the protection forces in confronting all schemes aimed at undermining the will of the peoples of the region, and thwarting these conspiracies against "our people, and we are determined to proceed with the concept of a democratic nation and brotherhood of peoples and build a democratic decentralization Syria."
At the same time, they called on the international community and the investigation committees to play their role in this escalation and the massacres committed by the Damascus government forces in the city of Deir ez-Zor against civilians.
