Politicians: Social Contract is qualitative leap for resolving Syrian crisis

The Syrians see the lack of political pluralism, and the policy of one party, one nationality, and one language as the most important causes of the Syrian crisis. All attempts to resolve the crisis have failed due to its focus on politics itself. However, the people of NE Syria have adopted a democratic project represented by Autonomous Administration.

On December 12, the General Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria approved a draft of a new Social Contract, the approval of the contract constituted a new leap in the work of the Autonomous Administration and an urgent need.

The administrator in the organization office of the Democratic Union Party in Manbij, Reem Darwish, said in a statement to ANHA agency that “the Social Contract came as a result of people struggle and great sacrifices that meets the requirements of Syrians in general and the people of NE Syria in particular, who were previously marginalized and excluded by authoritarian regimes.”

Darwish explained that what the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria achieved in the social contract, which came after years of chaos in Syria and political vacuum, makes the Social Contract an urgent need for all Syrians and a qualitative shift in resolving the Syrian crisis towards peace and a radical solution far from external interference, dependencies, and suspicious deals.

For his part, the head of the Future Syria Party Council in Idlib, Ahmed Shaaban, said: “We were impatiently awaiting the Social Contract, after years of discussions on it and amendments to meet the hopes of all components and factions and be in line with the critical stage that the region and Syria in particular are going through.”

He continued: "This contract came at the right time because it affirms the national constants of the safety of Syrian lands and resistance to the occupation, which is trying to legitimize its presence on Syrian territories "

Shaaban stressed that the people of NE Syria, including intellectuals, politicians, and thinkers have proven that they are capable of managing their regions themselves by formulating this Social Contract and he said: “All Syrians must start from the constants of this contract in order to stop the bleeding of Syrian blood and transfer Syria to a pluralistic state .”

In turn, the head of the Future Syria Party Council in Manbij and its countryside, Azab Al-Aboud, said: “The most important reasons for the outbreak of the Syrian crisis is the structure of the ruling political system, which was tailored to suit the Syrian constitution, and which established the unilateral system that relies on one religion, one nationality, one language, and one party in a country.”

Al-Aboud continued: "The regions of NE Syria represent a democratic project for a real solution to the Syrian crisis despite the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries ."

Azab Al-Abboud pointed out that the Social Contract guarantees the right of the basic component of society which is women and establishes a moral democratic society and a fair distribution of wealth. "
