Politicians from Tishreen Dam: Our goal is to protect the dam from these violent attacks

The components of the North and East of Syria region continue to protest against the Tishreen Dam to protect it from the attacks of the occupying Turkish state.

The Tishreen Dam is of great importance to Syria because it provides Syrians with water and electricity, in addition to its great importance to farmers in those areas.

Member of the Organizational Bureau of the Democratic Union Party Mustafa Shawkat Aldemar, who is participating in the protest against the dam, said: "We headed to the Tishreen Dam to protect it, as the dam is exposed to violent attacks, and there are very great dangers threatening the dam."

Mustafa Aldemar explained: "Tishreen Dam is the only source of energy for the region of North and East Syria. We, civilians and political parties in the region, came to the dam in order to protect it from the violent attacks it is constantly exposed to."

The dangers of Turkish attacks on Tishreen Dam

Shawkat Aldemar noted that: "The sources that were operating on Tishreen Dam were eight, and as a result of the continuous attacks on the dam, only one remained. The long-term power outage on Tishreen Dam exposes it to collapse."

Aldemar addressed an appeal to international powers: "Our message to the entire world is that there are great dangers to Tishreen Dam, and the dam is threatened with collapse. In the event of a collapse, there will be a catastrophe for hundreds of thousands of civilians."

Aldemar stressed that the civilians heading to Tishreen Dam are unarmed, and their goal is to protect the dam, and he said: "The Turkish occupation state's aircraft directly targets unarmed civilians while they are in the dam."

Mustafa Aldemar, a member of the Democratic Union Party's organizational office, called on humanitarian and human rights organizations to come to Tishreen Dam and see what is happening in the dam and the violations committed by the Turkish occupier.

For his part, Kilo Issa, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria, said: "Our goal in coming to Tishreen Dam continuously, despite the Turkish attacks on the dam and its surroundings, is to protect the dam from these violent attacks, because the dam belongs to all of Syria."

Kilo Issa explained that Tishreen Dam is of great importance to the region of North and East Syria, as it is a source of water and electricity. He said: "For more than two months, electricity has been cut off from many Syrian cities as a result of the ongoing attacks on the dam by the Turkish occupation state."

Kilo Issa called on the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state who are attacking the Tishreen Dam axis to abandon serving the interests of the Turkish occupation state.

Turkey aims to occupy larger parts of Syria at the hands of the Syrians

Kilo Issa noted that the Turkish occupation state aims to occupy more Syrian lands at the hands of the Syrians themselves. He said: "These Syrians are required to review themselves and think about how to rebuild Syria."

Kilo Issa called on all Syrian components and the leadership of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham to do their duty towards Syria, and noted: "The energy of Tishrin Dam returns to all of Syria, not just to the region of North and East Syria."

Kilo Issa noted that: "More than 300 civilians have so far been directly bombed by the Turkish occupation state's drones and warplanes." He stressed that they will not abandon Tishrin Dam no matter what happens, and no matter how violent and continuous attacks they are exposed to.

Kilo Issa, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria, said: "The Turkish occupation state does not want to stop the war in Syria, and establish peace and security among all components in Syria, but rather wants to increase strife and war."
