Political Affairs Delegation visits new Qamishlio region director

A delegation from the Political Affairs Administration in al-Hasakah Governorate, headed by Abbas Hussein, visited the city of Qamishlo to congratulate the District Director, Jihan Hassam, on assuming her new position. The two sides are also expected to discuss the progress of the integration process in the region.

Jihan Hassam, the Director of Qamishlo Region, received today a delegation from the Political Affairs Administration in al-Hasakah Governorate, headed by Abbas Hussein, in the presence of several district administrators.

The visit was made to congratulate Jihan Hassam on her appointment as Director of Qamishlo Region, as well as to discuss a number of administrative issues, foremost among them the progress of the integration process in the district.

On July 19, the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment of the Interim Government appointed Jihan Hassam as Director of Qamishlo Region, based on a proposal submitted by the Governor of al-Hasakah. The appointment comes as part of administrative measures aimed at organizing the work of the governorate's administrative units and enhancing the efficiency of local administration.
