People of Dêrik and Amuda affirm support for SDF

As part of the popular events in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces, hundreds of people from the city of Dêrik and the villages of Birav and Kojarat, in Jazera Canton, gathered today in the city's Freedom Square to participate in a march supporting the SDF.

Participants carried banners that read, "We salute the resistance of the people of Nusaybin," in addition to the flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units (YPG), and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ).

The march began with chants praising the SDF and proceeded through the main streets of Dêrik, eventually stopping in the central market.

After a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs, Marwan Mohammed, a member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Dêrik, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of rallying around the SDF to protect the achievements of the people of North and East Syria.

He called for the unification of the Kurdish people and all components to overcome the critical stage the region is facing.

The march concluded with chants of "Long live the resistance of the SDF."

In the same context, hundreds of people from Amuda and its surrounding villages, along with members of institutions affiliated with the Autonomous Administration, participated in a march today in support of the SDF and to express gratitude to the people of Nusaybin in North Kurdistan for their resistance and support for the people of North and East Syria.

Participants raised the flags of the SDF and the Women's Protection Units and carried banners that read, "We salute the struggle of our people in Nusaybin."

The march started from the Free Woman Square and headed toward Martyr Jihad Square, accompanied by chants of "Long live the resistance of the SDF" and "Long live the resistance of Rojava."

Upon their arrival, participants observed a moment of silence to honor the martyrs. Salman Sheikhi, an administrator in the Council of Martyrs' Families, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the resistance by the SDF and the Women's Protection Units in confronting Turkish occupation attacks.

He pointed to the sensitive stage the region is experiencing following the fall of the Assad regime and how the map of the Middle East is being redrawn.

Sherin Faru, speaking on behalf of the Women’s Movement, emphasized Kurdish women's commitment to the philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

She noted that the Turkish occupation army targets struggling women, citing journalist Cîhan Bîlgîn, who exposed the realities of the occupation.

The march ended with chants in support of the SDF.
