Participants in the Euphrates Tribes and Components Forum in Kobani affirmed their commitment to coexistence and Syrian unity, amid calls to build a democratic Syria that preserves the rights of all components and rejects strife between Kurds and Arabs.

In Kobani, on Saturday, a gathering of the Euphrates region's communities and tribes was held under the slogan "With the spirit of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, we revive the values ​​of our society."

Participants in the gathering included leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces, military leaders from the Syrian Interim Government, representatives of the Syrian Democratic Council and political parties, and sheikhs and dignitaries from the Arab, Turkmen, and Kurdish tribes in the Kobani region, in addition to guests from Aleppo, Raqqa, Tabqa, and Gire Spi. Also Ilham Ahmed, co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration; Sipan Hamo, deputy minister of defense; Jihad Issa al-Sheikh, advisor to the presidency; and Jia Kobani, deputy commander of the 60th Division were among the attendees.

On the sidelines of the forum, some Kurdish and Arab participants spoke to ANHA agency. Mohammed Basrawi expressed his happiness with the forum, thanking those present, and said: "We are all sons of Syria and brothers, and we will struggle together for security and stability, and to guarantee the rights of all communities within Syria."

As Sakina Kurdo from the city of Kobani explained, they want to achieve security and stability throughout Syria, and she said: “We and the Arabs are brothers, each of us complements the other. Together, Kurds and Arabs, we will build a democratic and free Syria.”

For his part, Najih Al-Aoun from the Azaz region explained that this gathering is very important for all the components in Syria, which will build a democratic Syria, and said: “All the components in Syria have their rights. Everyone is equal, and there should be no disagreement between them.”

For his part, Seifo Ali Remo pointed out that "Kurds and Arabs are brothers, and we will never allow anyone to incite strife between them. We will struggle together and in one spirit to guarantee the rights of all components in Syria, and we will work together for security and stability."

Mazloum Shekhani of the Sheikhan tribe said, "Kurds, Arabs, and Turkmen are bound by ties of brotherhood, and we must join hands and work to build a democratic Syria that guarantees the rights of all its components."

He added, "Today we are together, under one roof, and for the sake of brotherhood, we will build a democratic Syria that preserves the rights of all. We reject any attempts to incite discord between Kurds and Arabs, and we affirm that all members of the community are children of one nation."

For his part, Khalil Muhammad of the Kitkan tribe said, "There is no difference between Kurds and Arabs, because they struggle together with one spirit and for one goal."

He emphasized, "Arabs, Kurds, Druze, Alawites, and Christians must struggle together for a democratic and free Syria."
