On Saturday, the fourth group of displaced Afrin residents arrived in their city and villages after years of forced displacement that began on March 18, 2018.

Upon their arrival in their villages in the Shara district, the widespread destruction of homes and property became apparent. Dozens of houses were rendered uninhabitable due to destruction and looting by settlers.

Footage obtained by ANHA agency shows the extent of the damage inflicted on homes, including broken tiles and walls, ripped out doors and windows, and the complete theft of contents in some villages of the Shara district, exacerbating the suffering of the returning families.

The violations also extended to agricultural lands and olive groves for which the region is known, where trees were cut down and orchards destroyed.
