The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Raqqa province announced the opening of a shelter center for arrivals from Lebanon, whether Lebanese or Syrian refugees from outside the regions of North and East Syria.
The number of arrivals to the North and East Syria region from Lebanon since the beginning of the military escalation in Lebanon has reached 16,243 people, including Syrians and Lebanese.
Regarding the Lebanese refugees who arrived in Raqqa canton, as well as Syrians from outside the North and East Syria region, the Social Affairs and Workers Authority in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Raqqa announced, through a statement, the mechanism for dealing with them.
The statement was delivered by the co-chair of the Social Affairs and Workers Authority in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Raqqa canton, Sabah Abdul Aziz.
The statement pointed out that there are families from Raqqa who returned from Lebanon to the canton, accompanied by some Lebanese citizens fleeing the military escalation in Lebanon.
To help them stay within the canton, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the canton opened a shelter center in the Adnaniyah area in the countryside of Raqqa, and equipped it with what reduces the burdens of travel and escaping the war on those coming, and served it with enough shelter and food for them.
