Ongoing protests in Qamishlo calling for improved living conditions

In the western neighborhood of Qamishlo, a new protest was held today, in which dozens of residents and shop owners participated, calling for urgent solutions to the city’s ongoing living crisis.

The protesters carried banners demanding improved living standards, regular electricity supply, and solutions to the fuel shortage problem.

Participants also chanted slogans urging swift action to address the economic situation, stressing that the continued rise in the prices of basic goods, along with frequent power outages, has placed heavy burdens on citizens’ daily lives and caused financial losses for shop owners and their livelihoods.

This gathering is part of a series of protests that have been taking place in Qamishlo for about a week, calling for solutions to fuel and electricity shortages, curbing rising prices, and improving overall living conditions for residents.
