A man from the village of Maariyah in the Yarmouk area, west of Daraa, was wounded by Israeli forces while he was in a valley near the village.

Local sources reported that the shooting occurred during military training exercises conducted by Israeli forces stationed at the "Al-Jazeera" barracks, located north of Maariyah. The man was wounded and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, an Israeli helicopter flew over the area, coinciding with the movement of military vehicles toward areas in the Golan Heights.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive Israeli warplane flights over several areas in Daraa Governorate, in addition to reconnaissance aircraft activity in the far southern countryside of Quneitra, extending to the Yarmouk area.

In the same context, four Israeli military vehicles entered the occupied Golan Heights from inside the area, heading toward a newly established medical facility in the village of Al-Hamidiyah in the northern Quneitra countryside. This move was seen by observers as an indication of escalating security tensions in the border region.
