The delegation continues its official tour across several European countries. Today, it participated in the ninth edition of the "Festival of Humanity" in France, one of the most prominent cultural and political festivals, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

During the festival, a panel was held under the Kurdistan Democratic Council’s tent to discuss the "Women, Life, Freedom" revolution. The session focused on the experiences of Kurdish women in Rojava and their pioneering role in building a democratic society founded on equality and justice.

During the discussion, both Jian Hussein, the member of the Kongra Star Coordination, and Shahrazad Al-Jassim, spokesperson for the Zenobia Women’s Assembly, highlighted that the Rojava revolution represented a fundamental shift for women, granting them active leadership roles in councils and political bodies, as well as participation in self-defense initiatives.

They emphasized that this participation has challenged traditional gender stereotypes and demonstrated women’s capacity to make decisions and protect society in the face of challenges.

They also stressed that democracy cannot be achieved without the liberation of women and highlighted women’s achievements in legislating new laws and establishing independent institutions, despite obstacles such as war, sieges, and prevailing patriarchal attitudes.

The delegation includes Amineh Omar from the North and East Syria Women’s Council, Mona Al-Yousef, spokesperson for the Syrian Women’s Council, Shahrazad Al-Jassim from the Zenobia Women’s Assembly, Jian Hussein from the Kongra Star Coordination, and Georgette Barsum, president of the Syriac Women’s Union.

The delegation’s month-long European tour will include meetings with women’s and human rights organizations, European parliamentarians, as well as participation in panel discussions and various cultural activities.
