The Governor of Hasaka, Nouraldin Ahmed, received a delegation from the Ministry of Justice of the Syrian Interim Government at the governorate building today. The delegation was headed by the Attorney General of the Republic, Hassan al-Turba, and included Judge Muhammad al-Nasser, along with several other officials.

The visit was part of the ongoing process of integrating judicial institutions in Hasaka Governorate, in accordance with the agreement of January 29.

Following the meeting, the delegation proceeded to the Social Justice Council in Hasaka city, where, according to sources for ANHA agency, they discussed the issue of prisons and mechanisms for addressing it.

The delegation also visited Ghweiran Prison, accompanied by the Justice and Reform Affairs Office of the Autonomous Administration, and reviewed the prison administration. During the visit, administrative mechanisms were discussed, and an agreement was reached on establishing a new mechanism to regulate operations.

In this context, Attorney General Hassan al-Turba explained that a legal office dedicated to the prison has been established, affiliated with the Public Prosecution Office of the Ministry of Justice, similar to the legal offices established in other governorates. He noted that the office's responsibilities will focus on monitoring the affairs of inmates and ensuring the proper conduct of legal procedures.
