Today, the Access Civil Society Organization held its fourth and final dialogue forum in a series of meetings with displaced persons, following three previous sessions held on April 13, 14, and 15, 2026, with approximately 20 displaced individuals participating in each session.

The forum served as a comprehensive platform to discuss the most prominent issues and challenges raised during the previous meetings, as well as to formulate final recommendations.

The organization had previously organized a similar series of meetings between November 15 and December 15, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor the situation of displaced persons.

The forum was attended by a number of human rights activists, journalists, and civil society activists, in addition to members of the organization. Discussions focused on the role of various actors in responding to the challenges facing displaced persons, the practical steps that can be taken, and the obstacles hindering coordination and response.

These meetings aimed to activate the role of advocacy in identifying the basic rights demands of displaced persons, foremost among them security, housing, services, and livelihoods, in addition to ensuring a safe return and working to convey these demands to the relevant authorities.

At the conclusion of the forum, an advocacy statement entitled "Voices of the Displaced" was issued. In it, displaced persons from Serêkaniyê and Afrin, affirmed that forced displacement remains an ongoing reality, reflected in the loss of security, stability, and basic rights, as well as the deprivation of property and the right to benefit from it.

The statement reiterated a number of demands, most notably the provision of protection and security, securing adequate housing, improving livelihoods and employment opportunities, ensuring equitable access to basic services, and empowering displaced persons to access information and participate in decision-making.

It also called on the relevant authorities, including the Interim Government, the Autonomous Administration, and the committees concerned with the integration process, to take practical steps within clear timeframes, directly involve displaced persons in formulating policies that affect them, enhance transparency, and establish mechanisms to monitor the implementation of commitments.

The statement affirmed that responding to these issues is not merely a temporary humanitarian measure, but rather a commitment rooted in rights and justice. It emphasized that the right to a safe, voluntary, and dignified return is a fundamental right that cannot be postponed and requires genuine guarantees.

The participants also expressed their hope that this statement would serve as a starting point for an ongoing process that translates these demands into concrete steps on the ground.
