National Unity takes center stage at KNK General Assembly

The 24th session of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) General Assembly, which began today in Venlo, Netherlands, continued its work under the slogan "Democratic National Unity," with the participation of more than 300 delegates from various parts of Kurdistan and beyond.

The meeting included speeches from representatives of the four parts of Kurdistan, as well as representatives of other peoples. Professor Naila Baloch, speaking on behalf of the Baloch people, emphasized the importance of the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom and self-governance, stressing that solidarity among peoples strengthens the prospects for peace and democracy in the Middle East.

For his part, Salar Mahmoud, the head of foreign relations for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), considered Kurdish national unity an essential necessity, warning that its absence could lead to serious challenges in light of the rapidly evolving situation in the region.

Gustan Kadani, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI), called for unifying the Kurdish ranks within a shared strategy, emphasizing that the current stage requires greater coordination among Kurdish political forces.

Abdulkarim Omar, the representative of the Autonomous Administration in Europe, stressed that the Kurdish people are going through a critical period. He praised the achievements of the Rojava Revolution and affirmed that achieving national unity is an urgent necessity to preserve these gains and prevent further losses.
