A delegation including representatives from the Party for Equality and Peoples’ Democracy, the Peoples’ Democratic Congress, and the Democratic Regions Party held a meeting today with Hawler Governor Omed Khoshnaw to discuss the peace and democratic society call made by leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The delegation, consisting of members from the Peoples’ Democratic Congress, the Democratic Regions Party, and the Party for Equality and Peoples’ Democracy, has started a series of meetings in the city of Hawler to deliberate on leader Ocalan’s call.
The delegation included:
Meral Danış Beştaş, the spokesperson of the Peoples’ Democratic Congress
Serhat Erin, the Central Committee member of the Equality Party
Murat Sarı Saç, representative of the Democratic Regions Party’s diplomatic committee
MP Salih Aydeniz
Rezan Kanarslan, the spokesperson of the Youth Council
Murat Shen, representative of the Equality Party in Erbil
During the meeting with the governor, the delegation emphasized the importance of implementing the call and working to secure fundamental freedoms, including ensuring the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.
This meeting is part of a series of sessions the delegation has been conducting over the past three days. A few weeks earlier, they also met with the Governor of Sulaymaniyah.
