Muhammad Issa: continuing practices against Leader Ocalan will lead to major explosion

 No information has been received about the health and safety of Leader Abdullah Ocalan since the last meeting with him on March 25, 2021. Since then, the authorities of the Turkish occupation state have prevented his family and lawyers from meeting with him, under the pretext of disciplinary sanctions, which they are constantly extending, the last of which was on May 21.

The Syrian writer and political analyst, Muhammad Issa, spoke to ANHA agency about the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan, and said: “There is no doubt that the Turkish government’s persistence in restricting personal freedom and tightening punishments against the leader and symbol of the struggle of peoples yearning for democracy and justice, Abdullah Ocalan. That his sentence ended, which was essentially unjust and illegal, is considered a blatant violation of international norms and laws related to human rights.”

Muhammad Issa noted: “This indicates the extent of the impasse that the Justice and Development government, led by Erdogan, in terms of growing rejection in the Turkish street of its policies followed in various political files, both regional and local, which are now being reflected negatively and increasingly on the Turkish economy and on the exchange rate of the Turkish currency, security and social stability, especially after the recent local elections, the results of which dealt a strong blow to the dreams of Erdogan and his ally in the Nationalist Movement Party.”

Muhammad Issa explained: “Because the crisis is always one of the characteristics of his approach, confusion and the search for pegs on which to pin the reasons for his failures and the reasons for his failure, the campaign of restrictions and aggravation of the sanctions comes with the intention of diverting attention in the Turkish street from the real causes of the escalating crisis in the Turkish reality, behind which stand Erdogan’s reckless policies.”

Practices that will lead to a big explosion

Regarding the repercussions of the policy of isolation, oppression, and restrictions, Issa saw that: “Within the current international and regional climates, this could lead to a major social explosion; This is the logic of history, when contradictions rage, at a certain moment, and within conditions of blockage of the horizon of dialogue and ways of resolving relevant national, racial, and ethnic issues, it is worth mentioning at this point that the Turkish government has missed all opportunities to call for dialogue and stop military operations by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.”

The current international and regional crises prove the value of Ocalan's ideas

The writer and political analyst pointed out that: “The conflicts that the countries of the region have witnessed in the past hundred years and are witnessing recently, especially after the explosion of the national state in more than one Arab country after the start of the recent wave of the Arab Spring, and in particular after the repercussions of the recent Gaza war and the conflicts, wars and repercussions that it left behind, and it still warns of its awakening, the failure of the national and ideological state model in force and adopted in the countries of our Arab region and in Iran, Turkey and Israel is clearly evident, and it confirms its inability to respond to the interests of all societal parties that make up the state, as well as its lack of respect and marginalization of the cultural and civilizational identities of many components within the umbrella of the central national state with a unilateral national and cultural identity.”

Issa added: “In the face of this inevitable impasse, it will be of objectivity and of moral and historical importance to listen for a long time to the voice of reason and creativity in the thought of Leader Ocalan in his ideas of a democratic nation, which equalizes all components and brings the societies of the central nation-state out of their current impasse towards a society of brotherhood of free peoples sharing equally in the burdens and rights of a just democratic state.”

The Syrian writer and political analyst, Muhammad Issa, concluded his speech by saying: “Contemplating the reality of the problems and conflicts that the peoples of the region are suffering from, including the peoples of Iran, Turkey, and Israel, leads us to the voice of reason and logic, which requires all political movements, and intellectual currents to rise to the level of the challenges that were the obsession in the thinking of the Leader Ocalan when he created the idea of a democratic nation as a realistic, convincing alternative and a logical way out of the scourges of the existing stereotypical nationalist state in crisis.
